DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Danville’s popular First Fridays series is expanding beyond downtown for the first time, bringing a new glow-themed community event to Illini Skateland this February.

Glow in the Galaxy will take place Friday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Illini Skateland, located at 8 Brewer Road. The free event is open to community members of all ages and features an evening of roller skating, laser tag, music, and glow-in-the-dark activities.

Attendees will be able to enjoy free roller skating and laser tag, along with a glow disco dance floor and themed decorations. Arcade games and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the night, providing support for the venue.

Each guest attending Glow in the Galaxy will also receive one free entry into a community raffle for a chance to win a new pair of roller skates. Organizers say the giveaway is intended to encourage continued participation in public skate days at Illini Skateland.

More information about the event and future First Fridays activities can be found on the organization’s website.
