SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) — Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries is inviting future brides to explore affordable wedding attire at a series of upcoming bridal gown shows across central Illinois.

The organization will host five events throughout May and June, featuring more than 200 new and gently used wedding gowns in a variety of styles and sizes. The shows will also include flower girl dresses, mother-of-the-bride attire, and a limited selection of bridesmaid dresses.

Organizers say several brand-new gowns will be available thanks to a recent donation from a local bridal shop. Shoppers can also browse accessories such as jewelry, tiaras, and veils to complete their wedding day look.

One of the events will take place in Champaign on May 23, with additional shows scheduled in Springfield, Chatham, Quincy, and Normal. Each event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Goodwill officials say the shows are designed to provide an enjoyable and accessible shopping experience, with additional seating available for guests.

Proceeds from the events support the nonprofit’s mission of providing job training, employment placement, and other community-based services for individuals facing barriers to employment. Founded in 1938, the organization serves dozens of counties across Illinois and Indiana.

More information about the bridal gown shows is available on the organization’s website.
