CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — A nationwide pet supply drive is underway at Menards stores, giving community members a simple way to support local animal shelters and humane societies.

Running from April 1 through May 31, the effort invites shoppers to purchase pet-related items during their visit and donate them on-site. Collection boxes are typically located near store exits, making it easy to contribute while completing everyday shopping.

The drive focuses on gathering essential supplies that shelters rely on daily, including pet food, treats, collars, beds and other basic care items. Donations remain in the local community, helping nearby organizations care for animals in need.

Organizers say the initiative comes at a critical time, as many shelters continue to face increased demand and limited resources. By partnering with local humane associations, Menards stores aim to provide direct support that helps offset operational costs and improve care for animals awaiting adoption.

Shoppers can find a wide selection of eligible items in the store’s pet and wildlife department and place donations in designated bins before leaving. The campaign is part of the company’s broader commitment to community giving and seasonal outreach efforts.

More information about store locations and participation is available online at Menards homepage.
