CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Champaign police have arrested a second teenager in connection with a February 18, 2026, shooting that left a 26-year-old man with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Stratford Drive at 10:53 p.m. The victim was found in the 1600 block of Sangamon Drive, where police and fire personnel provided immediate medical assistance before he was transported to an area hospital.

A 17-year-old was arrested on March 19 during a court-authorized search, and on April 9, a 16-year-old was also taken into custody after another search warrant was executed. Both juveniles face charges related to the shooting, though their identities are protected under state law.
